GET LOST!  (sometimes we just need to get away)

An ongoing series of  photographs that represent  places I've visited to 'get lost'.  Walking around town, in the neighborhoods, the lake, and along the river proves to be an excellent vacation. 

Around here, it's easy to get lost.

These photographs don't really need an explanation.  When in doubt, I like to say "open interpretation".   Ongoing series.   

Portraits/Weddings

Covington Textures (work in progress)

Covington has changed quite a bit since my childhood.  The post office is no longer downtown and the pharmacy is now a fancy restaurant.  Still, there is something familiar because the textures remain.  The movie theatre is closed but just looking at its rocky exterior evokes memories of waiting in line for Star Wars.  The courthouse also moved out of the downtown area, but one look at the original building and I can see my grandmother coming and going - she worked there as a secretary for 25 years.  

So, Covington may have changed (haven't we all), yet the memories stay the same.  

Lumen Series (ongoing series)

A solar printing process creates a Lumen print.  An organic object is placed on photographic paper under glass, then exposed in sunlight.  The images in this series were printed for an average of 6 hours.
